February was our New Year…
As many of you may have caught on from the internet buzz and our
instagram this past show had quite a few new implementations. Many of which were very successful because… The show must go on! This show brought out quite a few beautiful examples of vintage automobiles. For Lamborghini we had a Pebble Beach award winning Miura, and a 350GT. Bentley had an amazing 1939 4.25L VanVooren Pillarless Saloon present, while Aston Martin was represented by a classically stunning DB5. Meanwhile the rest of the show was themed #OGBritishInvasion! Over 200+ cars had registered in advance and of those numbers, we had our biggest turn out for Bentley yet, over 25 Aston Martin’s, and the same for McLaren, over 25 cars! For our first show requiring both registration for owners as well as spectators, we are very appreciative of those who followed the directives and came out!
So #SunsetGT… We know that many of you are dying to know more, to give your input on how to improve the show, and so on and so forth. First is the location:
Sunset Plaza in partnership with
Obica Mozzarella Bar. Many of our followers suggested going a place less public, not in a neighborhood, and a bigger location. What many don’t realize is that the top lot holds just over 120 cars. That is a huge amount! Unfortunately the lower lot is no longer permitted for our use, but when we did have both upper and lower lots we were capable of providing both parking for the owners and spectators. There are not many locations with such a layout, if there even are others. Another aspect of the venue we currently love is the view! The furthest row back where we like to house our hyper car attendees and hero cars has an amazing back drop for all of our car spotters. And finally the location is an easy place for owners and spectators to find. It gives many people the option to just stop by. These are just a few of the reasons in which we don’t want to give up our relationship with Sunset Plaza!
Our goal with #SunsetGT is to ensure that this event feels like a community. The car community itself is very large and especially in Southern California where driving is practically year round.
#SunsetGT has always catered to a specific family within the community. Our focus is to the luxury, exotic, and super-cars. Yes we happen to cater to our brands specifically but we do love to have Ferrari and Porsche owners as well! With the new rules and regulations the meet is specifically for Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, Ferrari, Koenigsegg, Lamborghini, McLaren, Pagani. Porsche, and Rolls-Royce. We understand that this excludes a fair amount of other amazing brands, but in order for the show to continue this is a measure that we must take.
We hope that with these changes made we will see everyone again in March!
