On this weeks “turn back the odometer” feature we take a look back at 2019’s Rodeo Dr. Concourse D elegance. Father’s Day weekend is always a very special time for us as rodeo concourse has become one of our favorite events of the year. It’s a chance for us to show off the newest and most spectacular vehicles O’Gara has to offer. Last year was particularly special, as we got to tour one of the most incredible car collections in the world. As this year’s concourse has been canceled, we hope you enjoy this look back at last year‘s incredible event.

Rodeo Drive. One of, if not the most, iconic streets in the world. Known primarily for it’s shopping, dinning, and celebrity sightings, people from all over the globe flock to the famed street on a daily basis. But for one day a year, something different takes center stage. For the last 26 years, the City of Beverly Hills has celebrated Fathers Day by hosting what’s become one if the premier car shows in the country, the Rodeo Drive Concours. We at O’Gara Coach, one of the shows largest contributors, decided this was the perfect time and location to celebrate something of our own, the 100th year Anniversary of Bentley.  Below is a recap of the incredible weekend and all the experiences we were able to provide.

Bruce Meyer’s Garage

At O’Gara we have access to things few people, let alone dealerships, have access to. Years of building relationships and being a strong member of the Beverly Hills community affords us, and in turn, our clients some incredible opportunities. Enter Bruce Meyer. A man with a car collection to rival the best in the world. Saturday night Bruce opened the doors of his ultra secret Beverly Hills garage, and gave a tour only a select few have ever received. Hearing the stories behind these incredible automobiles like Clark Gables Mercedes, or his 1929 Bentley 4.5 Litre were a treat for even the most knowledgeable petrolhead.  We want to thank Bruce and his entire team for giving us and our guests this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Rodeo Drive Concours

At O’Gara Coach we’re used to pushing the limits of what’s possible when it comes to branding and experiential marketing.  Rodeo Drive Concours and The Beverly Wilshire have become a place for us to try something that hasn’t been done before. This year to celebrate Bentley and its storied 100 years, we made sure the brand would be seen, by everyone. Taking over the entire first block of Rodeo Drive, guests and spectators were able to see cars from both past and present. Ranging from a vintage Flying Spur to the new Bentayga Hybrid, the range of vehicles reminded us all of how Bentley has maintained its reputation for a century. Adding to the experience were our sponsors BB Lifestyle and Pirelli with their incredible products and display’s. Next, taking over the front of the Beverly Wilshire, we gave test drive participants an experience of the senses.  The sense of freedom with the new Continental GT Convertible, the sense of exhilaration with the Bentayga Speed, and the sense of adventure with the off road focused V8 Bentayga.  To further ensure the brand wasn’t to go unnoticed, we lastly staged the new Bentley Continental GT Convertible in the lobby of the iconic Hotel. Something we were told had never been done before, and required some precision driving on our part. This years Rodeo Drive Concours was one for the books, and we at O’Gara Coach cant wait for next year to add another chapter.
