Everyone loves a movie night, and at McLaren Beverly Hills, we wanted to take the movie-going experience to the next level for our private screening of “McLaren.” The documentary provided a glimpse into the legacy of Bruce McLaren, his F1 racing career and personal life. We were privileged to have Amanda McLaren, Bruce’s only child, as our host for the evening!

Since this was not a typical Saturday night at the movies, we chose to host the screening at the exclusive Soho House West Hollywood. We began the evening upstairs in The Luckman, which provided the perfect setting for a pre-screening cocktail hour with its incredible views of Los Angeles and vintage charm. Guests enjoyed a round of gourmet hors d’oeuvres and drinks while mingling with one another.

Once everyone had arrived, McLaren Beverly Hills brand manager Chris Blank welcomed guests and introduced Amanda as the special host for the evening, before inviting everyone to the Screening Room for the private viewing. Of course, a trip to the theater wouldn’t be complete without movie snacks – so we decided to kick it up a notch with an elevated menu of mini Moet champagne bottles, black truffle popcorn, poke, and a selection of fine desserts.

After the documentary concluded, Amanda took center stage and invited the audience to participate in a Q&A. She shared insider details about growing up in her native New Zealand surrounded by fellow F1 champions such as Graham Hill and Jack Brabham. As McLaren’s brand ambassador, she also spoke about the various responsibilities of carrying her father’s legacy and preserving the company heritage.

All in all, our McLaren Movie Night was the perfect way to celebrate Bruce’s life and his many contributions to the automotive industry!
