The McLaren P1, one of the three hypercars to be released at roughly the same time, has become known as possibly the most beautiful of the three and most befitting the hypercar moniker. The car launched the already storied McLaren to the next level and saw them go head to head with Ferrari and Porsche. Two car makers with much, much longer resumes. But where did this car begin?
