Longtime O’Gara Partner, Little Beach Club Malibu is home to a modern, beachside mansion just off Pacific Coast Highway. Although the SoHo House franchise is already members-only, the Malibu location brings exclusivity to the next level in which restaurant goers need to specifically apply to this location for access.
If it’s prime, ocean-view relaxation and unparalleled dining you’re looking for, this is it. The space is made up of an intimate indoor bar with extensive art collection, main restaurant terrace overlooking the waves complete with vintage sun umbrellas, and an upstairs sitting room with additional viewing decks.
Thoughtfully designed by Montalba Architects, the iconic location sitting above Malibu’s sandy shoreline embodies a quintessential, upscale California design with wrap-around terrace, warm teakwood architecture, floor-to-ceiling windows, and contemporary artwork featured around the grounds. The minimalist palette includes an array of seating areas, cozy lounge furniture, and indoor and outdoor fireplaces for those breezy summer evenings. Little Beach House Malibu hosts not one but three bars and several terraces all with panning views of the nearby Pacific Ocean and Malibu Pier, so close you can feel the light ocean spray and singing gulls as you enjoy your meal.
The food is derived from California cuisine with Asian influence paired with fresh and local produce. What makes the members-only location a favorite to Angelenos is for being very casual yet upscale where you can eat and relax without the pompous restaurant environment found in most LA eateries. Like the coastal vibe, the menu doesn’t try too hard, featuring West Coast favorites like the Calamari Fritti, Black Truffle Wood Fired Pizza, and shareable Garlic Cauliflower. Of course, these light and comforting dishes are best accompanied by a zesty Sunset Cocktail.
Not only popular for its eats and sights, Little Beach House Malibu hosts live music on the weekends as well as al fresco yoga, cocktail classes, group hikes, and marine biology discussions for it’s members. The location has been a well-known stop for our O’Gara rallies and events in which our clients are treated to a hosted lunch after a group coastal drive from our showrooms.
As the location reopens to the public, they are following CDC Guidelines in limiting capacity and abiding by social distancing, wearing masks, and disinfecting initiatives.
