For this weeks “Turn Back the Odometer” we revisit a time when not only could we get out and life was normal, we could do things like this. In December of 2018 we took a Lamborghini Huracan Evo Race car for a drive. Not on a race track or some desert testing grounds but on the of the worlds most iconic streets, Rodeo Drive. Why did we take this track only monster for a spin though Beverly Hills most coveted streets? In short. Because we could.

On Saturday December 22nd, Lamborghini Beverly Hills made history as the first to drive a track-only race car on Rodeo Drive. The 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo Collector’s Edition car is one of ten in the world, and the only car of its kind in California, as shown on its plate of origin, signed by Lamborghini CEO and Chairman Stefano Domenicali.

The Lamborghini Super Trofeo Evo was driven from the Lamborghini Beverly Hills showroom, made a loop around Rodeo Drive between Wilshire Blvd and Santa Monica Blvd, and parked in front of Roger Dubuis, where it was displayed from 9:00am until 8:30pm. The car was driven by Edoardo Piscopo, Lamborghini Beverly Hills Brand Manager, accompanied by police escort.

“It’s a very special vehicle, and is the only one in California, and one of 10 in the world. Having been part of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo for so many years, it is an honor to get to drive it on Rodeo,” states Piscopo, who has won the European, American and World Championship in the Super Trofeo.

The Italian vehicle, which has never been raced before and commemorates the 10th anniversary of the fastest one-make-series in the world – Lamborghini Super Trofeo – features 620 horsepower and is lighter weight with more downforce, which equip the car for racing, and remains geared towards the gentleman driver.

The drive and static installations drew large crowds throughout the day. The model is available for sale by Lamborghini Beverly Hills (price upon request) and can be viewed HERE on Lamborghini Beverly Hills website.

We’ve also included this behind the scenes video from our close friend and immensely talented Photographer and Videographer AJ Bleyer of Advent Films. This video shows how AJ was able to capture the articles incredible feature image.
