When you walk into an O’Gara Coach event, you can expect to be greeted by our welcoming brand specialists, the newest of our stunning luxury vehicles, and a glass of the most top-tiered beverages from across the world.

Clase Azul, the luxury tequila company made in Mexico, has been an O’Gara Coach partner since early 2019. Brand Experience Specialist, Saskia Iha, described the prestigious brand: “Our mission is to share the historical, cultural, and luxurious aspects of Mexico with the world” – and they have done so by creating an ultra-premium line of tequila using only 100% organic Tequilana Weber Blue Agave grown within the stunning region of Jalisco, Mexico.

Clase Azul Tequila

The high-end brand offers an exclusive selection of tequilas including Clase Azul Plata, Clase Azul Reposado, Clase Azul Anejo, Clase Azul Ultra Anejo, Clase Azul Mezcal, and La Pinta Pomegranate Liqueur made with tequila. What makes Clase Azul’s product stand out from the rest is not only the exquisite, pure tequilas from the finest Mexican ingredients, but the incredibly beautiful and individually painted bottles that also make them a one-of-a-kind piece of art.

“At Clase Azul Spirits, we are inspired by our mission to initiate and reinforce a deeper appreciation for the beauty of Mexico and its traditions.”

Clase Azul’s Brand Experience Specialist mentioned, “Our first collaboration with O’Gara was the Level 8 Drive-In Summer Series at The Grove. Clients of O’Gara enjoyed luxury car-side tequila service while parked on the rooftop of the Grove, complete with flutes of Clase Azul Reposado to sip while watching the featured movie.” O’Gara Coach has also since partnered with the tequila brand for our famed Sunset GT Rally during Pebble Beach Car Week where we celebrate the completion of the Malibu to Monterey drive and guests are treated to a tasting of the full Clase Azul portfolio during the welcome dinner at the Pininfarina estate.

During this period of quarantine, we asked Iha her insights on enjoying their luxury beverages in the comfort of our homes. “My personal favorite pairing is Clase Azul Mezcal alongside a plate of prosciutto wrapped melon. Another great option for Clase Azul Reposado and Clase Azul Añejo is to serve it over a large sphere ice cube garnished with an orange twist to enhance the beautiful notes in the tequila” said Iha.

Bottles of Clase Azul spirits

Clase Azul’s “King of the Family”, Clase Azul Ultra, is adorned with an agave ornament made of Mexican sterling silver with the bottle’s design painted in liquid platinum and the label made of 24k gold. For an at-home treat, she recommends enhancing the tequila with a decadent chocolate truffle or enjoyed with a fine cigar for a perfect night cap to end a long day.

“You may have heard clients talk about ‘ringing the bell’ on their Clase Azul bottle, which was actually discovered quite by accident” mentions Iha. “In order to use a more sustainable material, we redesigned the cap which happened to make a ringing sound when tapped just the right way. We now consider this sound the ‘unleashing’ of the magic inside the bottle.”
